AYDA ASEAN Digital Champion

The ASEAN Digital Champion (ADC) is a 1-day (4 hours) online course with a certification test that aims to extend the reach of the workshops held during the AYD 2023 (ASEAN Youth Dialogue) to a broader audience. ADC offers certificate courses in four topics, providing participants with fundamental skills for developing socially inclusive green projects utilizing digital technology.

Program Topics

AYDA Workforce Development for ASEAN Youth

This is a 9 to 12-week instructor led online training program in entry-level Cloud Computing skills. This program aims to facilitate skilling of self-employed, unemployed and underemployed individuals in cloud computing skills and to prepare them for the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification, which can later support their endeavor in seeking jobs or using cloud computing.

Learners delve into topics like Cloud Computing, Linux, Networking, Security, Databases, Python Programming, and AWS. Through scenario-based lessons, hands-on labs, coursework, and workplace orientation, they cultivate essential skills for entry-level cloud positions.

AYDA Job Readiness for ASEAN Youth

Research says 87% of employers believe graduates aren’t workplace-ready. We steps in to bridge this gap with our program.

Tailored for aspiring professionals, our initiative grooms the youth, honing their job readiness through contemporary digital tools and pivotal soft skills. Based on their initial assessment, a bespoke learning trajectory crafted from 30 sub-competencies is provided. Upon finishing the course, participants are awarded the “Job Ready” badge, a valuable asset during job and internship searches. This course can be completed within 90 hours duration.

AYDA Workplace Orientation

Graduates of the AYDA program will be matched with MSMEs in the ASEAN region for 3 to 8-week workplace orientation (online/hybrid) including to utilize the learnings in Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence.

Learners will be expected to assist MSMEs in the ASEAN region to enter or expand in the digital marketplace either by preparing an analysis and/or by hands-on implementation.

AYDA Membership Program

Participants will join the AYDA Membership Program. After becoming a member of AYDA, members can have access to future AYDA events and programs while engaging with youth across the region who share the same interest in digital development.
