Who We Are
The ASEAN Youth for Digital Action (AYDA) program is a regional initiative aimed at empowering youth across Southeast Asia with the digital competencies and professional skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven economy. By integrating digital literacy, emerging technologies, and workforce readiness development, AYDA supports young people in building the capabilities required to participate in and contribute to the region’s digital transformation.
Through a combination of structured learning, practical experience, and regional collaboration, the program connects youth with industry, organizations, and opportunities across ASEAN. AYDA seeks to strengthen employability, support digital innovation, and foster a new generation of digitally empowered leaders who can drive inclusive and sustainable growth within their communities and across the region.
Founded through a collaboration between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, ASEAN and the Indonesia Economic Forum, AYDA is officially endorsed and partnered with:
AYDA was announced as an official outcome of the ASEAN Summit chaired by Indonesia in 2023.
Our Mission
To equip ASEAN youth with digital skills, foster an inclusive and dynamic learning community, and create pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and leadership in the digital economy.
Who Can Join?
AYDA welcomes youth aged 18–30 from across ASEAN who are eager to build digital skills and advance their career opportunities. The program is open to individuals from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, including:
University Graduates
Individuals who have recently completed degrees in any field.
Unemployed and underemployed youth
Young people seeking to strengthen their skills and improve access to career opportunities.
Self-employed individuals
Individuals looking to enhance their digital capabilities to grow their businesses or professional services.
AYDA is committed to diversity and inclusion, encouraging participation from all genders and actively engaging individuals from underserved communities, including low-income groups and persons with disabilities.
